As I look through the various example ePortfolios, the biggest things that stand out to me are how the posts are easy on the eyes and interesting. Every post and page that I enjoyed looking at included a nice graphic that was pleasant to look at. Including graphics also does a great job of pulling a reader into looking at the post and making them interested in what each post and page has to say and how it all connects. As a result, I am currently working on using Adobe Spark to add graphics to all of my Posts and Pages.

I have noticed that many of the sites are nicely organized and also visually appealing. Being careful with how we organize our menus, choose our font sizes, and choose our color schemes really pays off.

Looking through others’ ePortfolios makes me realize that our ePortfolios can be modified for each of our specific interests. It is most interesting when we dive in and share our personal special-interests through our ePortfolio.
Another EDLD student in my class had many posts that were centered around Dentistry and Education. It made me so interested in looking around and learning more about what she had to say because I could tell she was very passionate about her writings. She was not only writing about Education, but writing about her specific interest within the ePortfolio. Dentistry and Education is something I knew little about, but because she included her specific interests in the writings, I was drawn to several of the posts and really enjoyed looking around her ePortfolio.
One site I really enjoyed looking at was George Couros’ site. I have heard lots of my teacher friends discuss his ideas and I enjoy following him on Twitter. I did not realize how nicely someone could present their ideas using a site. It really helps engage people, and helps them want to understand your passions and learn more for themselves.
